A Dedication
Robert Baker Aitken, Roshi "Papa"This is a dedication to two great men who walked the path of The Awakened State of Mind without hindrance. The first man, Robert Baker Aitken, Roshi "Papa," the first American to bring Zen home to us is gone.
Roshi, your life is an inspiration to us all who aspire to walk the path of this great way. Thank you for bringing the seed of Buddha Dharma home to us. Your teachings will last forever.
Robert Baker Aitken, Roshi "Papa" Memorial
Thank you for supporting Kobutsu all these years. Your gracefulness and candor as well as your hospitality were extremely meaningful for Kobutsu and for all beings. You will be greatly missed.
My condolences go to the Aitken family, friends, Diamond Sangha members and the Maha Sangha.
Ju San Si-fu Frankie Parker and Ven.KobutsuThe second man, Ju San Si-fu Frankie Parker, murdered by the state of Arkansas 14 years ago today. A true Bodhisattva who awoke in the depths of hell. He was executed by the State of Arkansas on August 8th 1996, after spending 12 years on death row for murder.
Ju San Si-fu Frankie Parker Story
To both men on this day, right now, you will not be forgotten.
